Since I was a little girl, I've been interested in photography. I remember when I used to sit and look at my grandparent's old photos for hours. I'd find pictures and love notes and work to put timelines and connections together so I could find out more about who they were before I was even born. I remember the photos would prompt me to ask them questions and I'd hand them a photo and watch them burst out laughing or have this rush of emotion like they were remembering something for the first time in a long time. It'd then lead to them telling me more....connection.
That's the power of photography and that's why I do what I do. It can transport us to a different time, flood our hearts with emotions, and even help us recall some things we had long forgotten. Stories make us who we are and since the very beginning of time, we pass those pieces of us from one generation to the next.
That's why I do what I do. It's not just a couple of photos. It's part of your story - your accomplishments, your love, your life - frozen in time, for you and those after you.
